The Wicksburg Panthers basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Zion Chapel Rebels to 19 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cottonwood for a 2A Area 2 contest on Friday, January 5. Wicksburg will battle a Bears team coming off a 56-45 non-league loss to Graceville (Graceville, FL). The Bears record now stands at 11-4.
The Rebels (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Luverne (Luverne, AL). The Tigers enter the 2A Area 4 contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Luverne triumphed over Enterprise (Enterprise, AL), 32-27, in a non-league contest.
