Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD), 38-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Liberty upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Winters Mill (Westminster, MD) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Eagles play the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Francis Scott Key will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
