The Cougars now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host James River for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4. Alleghany will battle a Knights team coming off a 56-15 non-league loss to Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Knights record now stands at 3-5.

The Cavaliers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders come into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Glenvar triumphed over Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA), 61-41, in a non-league contest.
