In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Thorsby Rebels basketball team scored a big 58-36 triumph over the Billingsley Bears.
The Rebels (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Eagles go into the 3A Area 5 contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Alabama Christian Academy was trounced by Brantley (Brantley, AL), 70-57, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Isabella Mustangs (Maplesville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Billingsley will attempt to better on its 2-11 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 68-36 non-league loss to Thorsby (Thorsby, AL).
