In Thursday's league contest, the host Chesapeake Panthers basketball team scored a big 72-43 triumph over the Dawson-Bryant Hornets.
The Panthers (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin Monroe (Pitsburg, OH). The Jets go into the non-league contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Franklin Monroe smashed Belmont (Dayton, OH), 42-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Rock Hill Redmen (Ironton, OH) in a Ohio Valley contest, on Monday, January 6. Dawson-Bryant will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Redmen go into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 60-55 league loss to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH).
