The Faribault Falcons basketball team scored 77 points and limited the host Winona Winhawks to 61 in the Falcons league triumph on Thursday.

The Falcons now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Earth for a non-league game on Friday, January 3. Faribault will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 67-58 league win over Sibley East (Arlington, MN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Winona falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Winhawks travel to Red Wing (Red Wing, MN) to battle the Wingers in a AAA Section 1 contest on Saturday, January 11. The Wingers come into the contest with a record of 5-4.
