Montrose Meteors (Montrose, PA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they saw their basketball team beat the visiting Forest City Foresters (Forest City, PA), 53-34 in a league bout.

The Meteors now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Carbondale Area for a Lackawanna 4 bout on Monday, January 6. Montrose will play a Chargers team coming off a 60-28 league loss to Elk Lake (Dimock, PA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, Forest City falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Foresters host Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Western Wayne lost 57-32 in their recent league bout against Dunmore (Dunmore, PA)
