In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Gaston Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 65-55 triumph over the Southeastern Mustangs.
The Bulldogs (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Wadley (Wadley, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Wadley was topped by Glenwood (Phenix City, AL), 80-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Southeastern will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 64-47 league loss to Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL).
