In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Royalton Royals basketball team scored a big 54-30 triumph over the Albany Huskies.
The Royals (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN). The Irish go into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Maple Lake smashed North Lakes Academy (Forest Lake, MN), 61-13, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Detroit Lakes Lakers (Detroit Lakes, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Albany will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Lakers go into the contest with a 2-8 record after their 51-33 league loss to Willmar (Willmar, MN).
