In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds basketball team scored a close 33-30 win over the Bellows Free Academy Bullets.
The Thunderbirds (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Harwood (Moretown, VT). The Highlanders come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Harwood edged Middlebury (Middlebury, VT), 47-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bullets battle the Milton Yellowjackets (Milton, VT) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Bellows Free Academy will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 52-28 non-league win over Winooski (Winooski, VT).
