Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), 48-45 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Espanola Valley edged Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 33-27, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Ravens come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 48-31 non-league loss to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
