The Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) basketball crushed the host Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians (Fort Totten, ND), 72-36 in Thursday's league bout.

The Firebirds now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Valley City for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Devils Lake will play a Hi-Liners team coming off a 64-39 non-league win over Dunseith (Dunseith, ND). The Hi-Liners record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Four Winds/Minnewaukan falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Watford City (Watford City, ND) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 3-5.
