In Thursday's league contest, the host Pope John Paul II basketball team scored a big 47-22 win over the Norristown Eagles.
The (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic (Drexel Hill, PA). The Friars/Pandas come into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic was trounced by Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, PA), 57-28, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Academy Park Knights (Sharon Hill, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Norristown will attempt to better on its 0-8 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 50-44 non-league loss to Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA).
