In Thursday's non-league test, the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA), by a score of 77-14.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 test, on Monday, January 6. Shady Side Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-0 season record. The Lancers come into the test with a 5-2 record after their 39-24 non-league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA).

The Ironmen (1-8) will now prepare for their test against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators come into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, South Allegheny bounced East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA), 40-25, in a league test.
