West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Joseph Central thwarts Sherman

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) and the host Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), observed St. Joseph Central's basketball team knock off Sherman by a score of 38-25.

The Irish (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, PikeView prevailed over Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV), 53-25, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tide encounter the Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 57-41 non-league loss to Roane County (Spencer, WV).
