In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Smithville Smithies basketball team scored a good 39-30 triumph over the Waynedale Golden Bears.
The Smithies (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record.
In their next game, the Golden Bears battle the Louisville Leopards (Louisville, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Waynedale will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Leopards go into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 64-36 non-league win over Buchtel (Akron, OH).
