In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting St. Dominic Saints basketball team scored a big 44-21 win over the Waynflete Flyers.
The Saints (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Dirigo trounced North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME), 48-47, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Flyers encounter the Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Waynflete will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 35-25 league win over Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME).
