The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Franklin Patriots (Livonia, MI) and the visiting Canton Cobras (Canton, MI), witnessed Franklin's ice hockey team defeat Canton by a final score of 3-1.

The Patriots (16-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Clarenceville (Livonia, MI). The Trojans come into the Kensington Lakes - South challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Clarenceville got by Wayne Memorial (Wayne, MI), 5-2, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cobras battle the Northville Mustangs (Northville, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Canton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Wayne Memorial (Wayne, MI).
