The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA) and the visiting Richland Rams (Johnstown, PA), witnessed Freeport's ice hockey team defeat Richland by a final score of 6-3.

The Yellowjackets (3-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Hampton (Allison Park, PA). The Talbots come into the PIHL Class A Blue challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Hampton by Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA), 6-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a PIHL Class A Blue challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Richland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV).
