In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Belfast Lions basketball team scored a big 69-22 win over the Waterville Panthers.
The Lions (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Mount View smashed Belfast (Belfast, ME), 44-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Waterville will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
