In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns basketball team scored a close 42-37 win over the West Scranton Invaders.
The Buckhorns (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Archbald, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Invaders battle the Delaware Valley Warriors (Milford, PA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. West Scranton will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
