Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), 68-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Bloomfield upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Aztec (Aztec, NM) to play the Tigers in a 4A District 1 bout on Saturday, January 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Aztec lost 55-44 in their recent league bout against Miyamura (Gallup, NM)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) in a 4A District 1 bout, on Saturday, January 22. Shiprock will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 84-55 league loss to Gallup (Gallup, NM).
