Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the La Crescent Lancers (La Crescent, MN) and the visiting Lewiston-Altura Cardinals (Lewiston, MN), saw La Crescent's basketball squad hold off Lewiston-Altura by a count of 44-42.

With the victory, La Crescent upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Lancers host Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a AA Section 1 challenge on Friday, January 21. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-3.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Cotter Ramblers (Winona, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 21. Lewiston-Altura will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
