The Abington Heights Comets topped the visiting West Scranton Invaders basketball team by a final score of 72-53 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Comets face the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 21. Abington Heights will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record.

With the defeat, West Scranton moves to 8-7 on the year. The Invaders host Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA) to face the Cavaliers in a Lackawanna 1 game on Tuesday, January 24. The Cavaliers enter the game with a record of 9-6. Scranton Prep won 70-61 in their recent non-league game against Pocono Mountain West (Pocono Summit, PA)
