Texas High School Basketball - Akins knocked off by Anderson

The Anderson Trojans basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Akins Eagles to 58 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 10-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westlake for a 6A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Anderson will battle a Chaparrals team coming off a 72-48 league win over Del Valle (Del Valle, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 24-4.
Next up, the Eagles play the Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Akins will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 14-11 record after their 64-36 league loss to Johnson (Buda, TX).
