Texas High School Basketball - Aledo can't hold off Northwest

The Northwest Texans basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Aledo Bearcats to 38 in the Texans league victory on Friday.
The Texans now sport a 13-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brewer for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Northwest will battle a Bears team coming off a 45-22 league win over Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Bears record now stands at 23-3.
The Bearcats (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Rough Riders come into the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Saginaw was nudged by Northwest (Justin, TX), 52-31, in a league contest.
