The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team (Taylorsville, NC), dropped 60-51 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC)

The Patriots now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hibriten for a 3A/4A Conference 52 battle on Friday, January 27.

The Cougars (11-6) will now prepare for their battle against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 2-14 record. In their last battle, South Iredell dropped by West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 91-59, in a league battle.
