Michigan High School Basketball - Utica edges Anchor Bay

The Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI), 61-54 in Friday's league test.

The Chieftains (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Fraser (Fraser, MI). The Ramblers go into the Macomb Area - Blue test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Fraser got by Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI), 50-49, in a non-league test.

The Tars now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cousino for a Macomb Area - Blue test on Tuesday, January 24. Anchor Bay will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 70-48 league win over Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI). The Patriots record now stands at 8-4.
