In Friday's league outing, the Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), by a margin of 64-28.
The Longhorns (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against North Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Raiders go into the AAAAAA Region 8 outing with a 11-8 record. In their last outing, North Forsyth smashed Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA), 61-36, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson County for a AAAAAA Region 8 outing on Tuesday, January 24. Apalachee will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 73-41 league loss to Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-18.
