The Valley Vikings basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Apollo Ridge Vikings to 15 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southmoreland for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Valley will battle a Scotties team coming off a 78-55 non-league win over Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Scotties record now stands at 10-5.

The Vikings (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs enter the WPIAL 3A 3 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Shady Side Academy triumphed over Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA), 50-44, in a league contest.
