Texas High School Basketball - Arlington can't hold off Sam Houston

The Sam Houston Texans basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Arlington Colts to 69 in the Texans league triumph on Friday.
The Texans now sport a 21-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bowie for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Sam Houston will battle a Volunteers team coming off a 60-53 league loss to Martin (Arlington, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 7-15.
The Colts (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Gophers enter the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 6-19 record. In their last contest, Grand Prairie was nudged by Sam Houston (Arlington, TX), 70-48, in a league contest.
