The New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Ashland Arrows (Ashland, OH), 60-55 in Friday's non-league test.

The Quakers (10-3) will now prepare for their test against West Holmes (Millersburg, OH). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, West Holmes got by Wooster (Wooster, OH), 56-37, in a league test.

The Arrows now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Madison Comprehensive for a Ohio Cardinal test on Tuesday, January 24. Ashland will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 65-58 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, OH). The Rams record now stands at 7-8.
