Athenian Owls (Danville, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting College Prep Cougars (Oakland, CA), 77-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Athenian upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Owls host Bentley (Lafayette, CA) to clash with the Phoenix in a Bay Counties - East bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Bentley lost 59-28 in their recent league bout against Head-Royce (Oakland, CA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA) in a Bay Counties - East bout, on Tuesday, January 24. College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 60-21 league win over Valley Christian (Dublin, CA).
