The Benedictine Cadets basketball team (Savannah, GA), was nudged 68-65 in Friday's league battle with the host New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA)
The Phoenix now possess a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Bulloch for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Saturday, January 21. New Hampstead will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 52-45 league loss to Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-12.
The Cadets (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Islands (Savannah, GA). The Sharks come into the AAAA Region 3 battle with a 3-16 record. In their last battle, Islands was nudged by Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 75-43, in a league battle.
