Chelmsford Lions (North Chelmsford, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Billerica Memorial Indians (Billerica, MA), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Chelmsford upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Lions host Haverhill (Haverhill, MA) to play the Hillies in a Merrimack Valley - Small bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Hillies go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Haverhill lost 61-60 in their recent league bout against Methuen (Methuen, MA)

Next up, the Indians play the Dracut Middies (Dracut, MA) in a Merrimack Valley - Small challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Billerica Memorial will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record.
