The Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) basketball felled the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 71-57 in Friday's league test.
The Knights (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the DCSAA AA test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Archbishop Carroll went down by Paul VI (Chantilly, VA), 90-33, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they host The Heights for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Bishop Ireton will encounter a squad coming off a 104-48 league loss to Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 2-13.
