In Friday's league outing, the Tom Bean Tomcats (Tom Bean, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), by a margin of 37-28.

The Tomcats (9-16) will now prepare for their outing against Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region II District 14 outing with a 3-18 record. In their last outing, Whitewright was topped by Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX), 75-16, in a league outing.
