Texas High School Basketball - Bovina overwhelmed by Panhandle

The Panhandle Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Bovina Mustangs to 21 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farwell for a 2A Region I District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Panhandle will battle a Steers team coming off a 61-36 league win over Vega (Vega, TX). The Steers record now stands at 18-4.

The Mustangs (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Park (Amarillo, TX). The Hornets come into the 2A Region I District 3 contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Highland Park was routed by Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX), 66-55, in a league contest.
