Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA), 73-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Calhoun County upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Cougars host Early County (Blakely, GA) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Early County lost 67-65 in their recent non-league bout against Terrell County (Dawson, GA)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a A D2 Region 1A bout, on Saturday, January 21. Pataula Charter Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Greenwave go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 67-65 non-league win over Early County (Blakely, GA).
