Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Perryton Rangers (Perryton, TX), 57-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Canyon upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Eagles host West Plains (Amarillo, TX) to play the Wolves in a 4A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 9-7.

Next up, the Rangers play the Borger Bulldogs (Borger, TX) in a 4A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Perryton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-17 record after their 71-47 league loss to Hereford (Hereford, TX).
