North Carolina High School Basketball - Hobgood Charter thwarted by Cape Hatteras

The Hobgood Charter Raiders basketball team (Hobgood, NC), was toppled 60-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC)

The Hurricanes now possess a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mattamuskeet for a 1A Conference 1 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Cape Hatteras will confront a Lakers team coming off a 49-36 league loss to Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC). The Lakers record now stands at 5-9.

The Raiders (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 12-8 record. In their last battle, Lawrence Academy was toppled by Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC), 63-44, in a league battle.
