Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Celeste Blue Devils (Celeste, TX), 62-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Wolfe City upgrades its record to 12-11 on the season. The Wolves travel to Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX) to play the Warriors in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 14-9. Honey Grove won 60-12 in their recent league bout against Trenton (Trenton, TX)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Celeste will attempt to upgrade on its 16-9 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 75-16 league win over Whitewright (Whitewright, TX).
