Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Overton Bobcats (Nashville, TN), 73-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Overton (Memphis, TN) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 16-7. Overton won 64-63 in their recent league bout against Memphis East (Memphis, TN)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Franklin Admirals (Franklin, TN) in a 4A District 11 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Overton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Admirals come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Independence (Thompson's Station, TN).
