The Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings to 59 in the Stormin' Pointers league victory on Friday.

The Stormin' Pointers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Tama County for a WAMAC - West contest on Tuesday, January 24. Center Point-Urbana will battle a Trojans team coming off a 66-38 league loss to Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-10.

The Vikings (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA). The Clippers come into the WAMAC - West contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Clear Creek-Amana was defeated by Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA), 76-62, in a league contest.
