Central Christian Comets (Kidron, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Loudonville Redbirds (Loudonville, OH), 63-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Christian upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Comets travel to Kingsway Christian (Orrville, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Kingsway Christian won 57-47 in their recent league bout against Harvest Temple Christian Academy (Clyde, OH)

Next up, the Redbirds play the Mansfield Christian Flames (Mansfield, OH) in a Mid-Buckeye bout, on Saturday, January 21. Loudonville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Flames go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 45-39 league win over Crestline (Crestline, OH).
