Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting Cherokee Washington Braves (Cherokee, IA), 84-43 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Spirit Lake improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Sioux City North (Sioux City, IA) to confront the Stars in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 30. The Stars come into the challenge with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Braves confront the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) in a Lakes challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Cherokee Washington will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 74-63 league loss to Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA).
