Chester County Eagles (Henderson, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Scotts Hill Lions (Reagan, TN), 73-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chester County upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host McNairy Central (Selmer, TN) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 5-8. McNairy Central lost 69-48 in their recent non-league bout against Crockett County (Alamo, TN)

Next up, the Lions play the Riverside Panthers (Decaturville, TN) in a 2A District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Scotts Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 68-54 league loss to Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN).
