Stanley Panthers (Logansport, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Converse Wildcats (Converse, LA), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Stanley upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Simpson (Simpson, LA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Simpson lost 80-43 in their recent league bout against Evans (Evans, LA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Florien Blackcats (Florien, LA) in a B District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Converse will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Blackcats go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 43-41 league loss to Negreet (Negreet, LA).
