Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Corry Beavers (Corry, PA), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Oil City upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Oilers host Conneaut Area (Linesville, PA) to clash with the Eagles in a District 10 Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Conneaut Area lost 78-49 in their recent league bout against Warren (Warren, PA)

Next up, the Beavers clash with the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Corry will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 83-48 non-league win over Titusville (Titusville, PA).
