Cove Leopards (Cove, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR), 51-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Cove upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Leopards travel to Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR) to play the Spartans in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, January 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Pine Eagle lost 49-23 in their recent league bout against Imbler (Imbler, OR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 21. Wallowa will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Badgers go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 70-67 league win over Joseph (Joseph, OR).
